January 2021 : Tree of Life Workshop (Online)
January 2021 : Tree of Life Workshop (Online)
Wednesday 6th January @ 18:00 - 19:00 via Zoom
The Tree of Like workshop is back again for January for some much needed reflective time and grounding to bring in 2021.
The Tree of Life is a visual metaphor which represents your life, it allows a space to tell your story creatively. Your narrative of yourself is key to your life, whether it is related to negative self-talk or how you speak to others about yourself, having a strong understanding of your values allows you to always centre back to yourself.
The Tree of Life’s roots lie with narrative therapy, where the way you speak about your strengths and values create the foundations of how you manage difficult areas in life.
Wednesday 6th January @ 18:00 - 19:30 via Zoom
The Tree of Life is a visual metaphor which represents your life, it allows a space to tell your story creatively. It was co-created by Ncazelo Ncube and David Denborough in 2006 and its roots lie with narrative therapy, where the way you speak about your strengths and values create the foundations of how you manage difficult areas in life.
At a time where identity feels even more important, this guided exercise aims to explore and reflect your identity and all the richness in your story so far. It will draw emphasis on your roots, your values and your hopes and dreams. The reflective parts of the exercises will also let you delve into how you feel about each part of your metaphoric tree. It will close with a guided meditation to recentre yourself again.
All proceeds will be donated to Newham Solidarity Fund (https://opencollective.com/newhamsolidarityfund). Newham Solidarity Fund is a project led by the community to support each other with amenities. It is built on foundations of mutual aid, solidarity and good will.
